A tip to Gulf Coasts Crime Stoppers has led the Florida Highway Patrol to the recovery of a truck that was involved in a December 30 hit and run traffic crash.  Two Pace women were injured in the crash.

According to a report from the FHP, the white Cheverolet truck was speeding as it traveled eastbound on U.S. Highway 90 when it  hit the back of a GMC sport utility vehicle occupied by 60-year-old Patsy Rhodes and 83-year-old Edith Shear.  The impact from the accident caused the SUV to spin and overturn on the south shoulder of the highway.

The Highway Patrol said the truck is registered to Jacob Bankston.  Exactly who was driving the truck at the time of the accident is still under investigation.
